Project

I've had a bit a break from bags, so I've been using this time to finish off a project that I've been working on off and on for about a year. Here's the finished product!

Comments:
Great quilt, I like the trim. I have to fess up to being into quilts too!, I've started a few but never, ever finished them! They take a long time don't they!

What did you fill it with ? Batting, or is it an unfilled throw? Are you going to do any top stitching? I have this mad bad quilting machine but I don't really know how to use all the gizzmos on it yet!

You'd have to sell this for ton's wouldn't you, I gather you made it for yourself though. You are a busy bee, I want to be like you too when my studios done !

Hey lol b.

I think quilts are cool, as long as they are not grandmasih! And they do take ages eh! I have another that is in storage in Melbourne. That one took about 6 months to make. I took it to a lady who has a huge quilting machine to get it quilted. For that it cost me about $250 for a queen size.

The quilt that is on my post has had all three layers hand stitched together and has batting in it. I won't do any top stitching as I was getting a bit lazy towards the end! I just wanted to finish it.

I don't sell my quilts. No one would pay the price I'd be asking. Which would be in the thousands consdering the time and labour.

So anyway, I hope I have given you some inspiration to finish off those quilts you began. I'd like to see some photos of them!

oh BTW! I found a website that sells organic batting!

Cool you can get organic batting! Can't promise I'll finish my quilt's anytime soon I have sooo many other things to do first!

That's quite a lot of money to get the quilt top stitched but I suppose you have something really lovely that you'll always cherish.
